Job summary

Osceola County is seeking a Bonds and Dockets Specialist to support law enforcement activities at the jail. The role handles inmate intake and bond releases, reviews court documents, and administers warrants and records in the jail management system.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of related experience, and the ability to obtain FCIC/NCIC certification within 30 days. A Florida driver’s license is required, with preference for Criminal Justice experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or equivalent.
• Must pass a typing test at 30 wpm.
• Must obtain FCIC/NCIC certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid FL Driver's License.
• Criminal Justice experience preferred.
• Ability to learn Corrections administrative operations and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of office procedures, records maintenance, data analysis and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process the intake and bond release of inmates.
• Review arrest paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter arrest information into the Inmate Management System; receive, execute and process warrants and RORs.
• Review inmate criminal histories to obtain information using FCIC/NCIC.
• Receive, verify and document cash bonds, surety bonds and purges at the Bond Desk; process bonds and notify local warrants section.
• Coordinate with the judicial system and disseminate inmate information to the Courthouse and Clerk of Courts.
• Perform administrative support in inmate records and bond processing.
• Answer telephone inquiries from the public and route to appropriate person or division.
• Maintain inmate records; update information in jail management system; communicate with other agencies.
• Provide training and complete Daily Observation Reports for new employees.
• Prepare and purge inactive files; manage storage of records.
• Inventory equipment and supplies and initiate requisitions.
