Job summary

Columbus Consolidated Government seeks a supervisorial role overseeing inmate labor in stormwater maintenance. Responsibilities include overseeing ditch work, erosion repair, and pipe/wall maintenance, while ensuring security for both inmates and the public.

The position requires knowledge of stormwater systems, safety and first aid basics, and the ability to supervise labor crews and enforce DOC guidelines. A valid GA driver's license is also expected.

Qualifications

• Experience or training related to supervising inmate laborers.
• Knowledge of stormwater drainage system maintenance.
• Familiarity with Department of Corrections guidelines and driver’s license requirements.
• Ability to read and apply safety procedures and first aid basics.

Responsibilities

• Supervises an assigned crew of inmates and provides security for inmates and the public.
• Oversees ditch cutting, erosion repairs, storm drain maintenance, and wall/pipe work.
• Oversees tree removal, grading of ditch lines, and landscaping where pipes are laid.
• Checks inmates for contraband and conducts inmate census.
• Drives inmate van and performs related duties as assigned.
