Job summary

The Sheridan Group is seeking a Master Inkjet Technician to maintain, repair, and optimize Ink Jet systems. You will establish specifications, train shifts, log maintenance, and ensure reliable operation of print and label equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, hands-on experience with finishing machinery, and proven mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills. Overtime may be required; safety and housekeeping are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Experience in printing finishing operations.
• Knowledge of finishing department machinery.
• Ability to learn the organization’s OS with training.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Reliable with good attendance; willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and log all PM activities.
• Troubleshoot and repair ink jet heads and related systems.
• Log repair history and maintain machine logbooks.
• Provide training for all shifts on ink jet applications.
• Test and qualify materials and supplies.
• Build templates and prepare setup documentation.
• Manage fluid inventory and place orders.
• Respond to troubleshooting by phone and on-site as needed.
• Maintain safety practices and good housekeeping.
• Support core company values and assist with production tasks as required.
