Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Vermont seeks a Master Inkjet Technician to oversee maintenance, repairs, and training for ink jet systems. The role includes hands-on troubleshooting, logging maintenance, and developing setup documentation to support multiple shifts.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience in printing/finishing, and proven mechanical/electrical abilities. Overtime may be required, and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Experience in Printing/Finishing operations.
• Experience with Finishing Department machinery.
• Able to become proficient with the organization’s operating system with training.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven mechanical and electrical abilities.
• Proven troubleshooting skills; basic math.
• Reliable with good attendance; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and log all periodic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair ink jet heads.
• Log history of repairs and PMs; maintain machine logbooks.
• Provide training for all shifts in ink jet applications and equipment.
• Test and qualify materials and supplies.
• Build templates as needed.
• Manage fluid inventory and communicate orders to purchaser.
• Be available by phone for troubleshooting and on-site as needed.
• Prepare setup, use, and troubleshooting documentation for inkjet units and controllers.
• Train backups for 1st and 2nd shifts and keep them updated.
