Job summary

The Sheridan Group is seeking a Master Inkjet Technician responsible for maintenance, repairs, and training related to Ink Jet systems. Duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting ink jet heads, logging repair history, and preparing setup documentation.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and leadership skills, with the ability to train across shifts and ensure safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Experience in Printing/Finishing operations preferred.
• Proficient with Finishing Department machinery.
• Ability to learn and operate the organization’s system.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and log all periodic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on ink jet heads.
• Log history of repairs and PMs; maintain machine logbooks.
• Provide training for all shifts in ink jet applications and equipment.
• Test and qualify materials and supplies.
• Build templates as needed.
• Manage fluid inventory and place orders.
• Be available by phone for troubleshooting and on-site if needed.
• Prepare setup/troubleshooting documentation for inkjet units and controllers.
