Job summary

The Sheridan Group is seeking a Master Inkjet Technician to maintain, repair, and train staff on ink jet systems. The role requires experience in finishing operations, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work across shifts with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include PM, Repairs, documentation, and safety adherence. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with mechanical and electrical skills and good communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Experience in Printing, specifically Finishing operations.
• Good working knowledge of Finishing Department machinery.
• Ability to learn the organization’s operating system with training.
• Proven organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and log all periodic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair ink jet heads and equipment.
• Log repair history and PMs; maintain machine logbooks.
• Provide training on ink jet applications across shifts.
• Test and qualify materials and supplies.
• Build templates as needed and update documentation.
• Support safety policies and housekeep practices.
• Assist production and operate equipment as required.
