Job summary

United Future seeks an experienced Inkjet Application Engineer to advance a production-ready printing platform for flexible electronics. You will optimize inkjet systems and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision RF/electronic components and collaborate with DoD-related programs.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, solving hardware/software challenges, mentoring junior staff, and delivering technical reports and demonstrations for government contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field is required.
• A master's degree or certifications in additive manufacturing or printing technologies are preferred.
• At least 7 years' experience in inkjet application development or additive manufacturing, including 2 years in electronic/RF/microwave components.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for print quality and customer requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision electronics.
• Evaluate fluid‑structure interactions and tune printing waveforms for flexible and RF/microwave electronics.
• Prepare cost estimates and prototypes for customer requirements.
• Conduct POC evaluations on specialized electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government research contracts with technical reports and demos.
• Train customer teams and mentor junior engineers.
