Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to own injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification services for new and rebuilt molds, and to support machine startups with new tooling across manufacturing operations.

You will optimize the molding process to meet dimensional tolerances and cycle times, create Master Process Sheets, and collaborate with plant technical teams, quality engineers and R&D to drive improvements and standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence internal and external customers.
• Experience in plastics packaging is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mold sampling and qualification on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings and tool specification reviews as required.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas including machine processing and tool design changes.
• Provide manufacturing support to resolve production issues related to machine, process, tooling or combinations.
• Lead tooling qualifications/validations at vendor sites.
