TRS Staffing Solutions in Spartanburg, SC, seeks an Injection Mold Tooling Engineer for a full-time, direct-hire role offering $110k-$130k per year.

You will lead finish tooling projects, track timing and budgets, and contribute to Process Flow Diagrams and FMEA for new tooling.

You’ll ensure prototype samples are PPAP-ready, support molding operations on the floor, and collaborate with CAD teams and vendors to improve tooling efficiency, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain finish tooling project timing, cost and budget tracking and project files.
• Create Process Flow Diagrams and Failure Mode Effect Analysis for new finish tooling and related equipment.
• Ensure part samples are off of new or prototype tooling for PPAP on time for submission to Quality Assurance Department.
• Support production by reviewing molding issues on the floor and recommending quick restoration actions.
• Identify enhancements in new molding equipment for cost savings, quality, safety and ergonomics; troubleshoot tooling issues and verify conformance to specs.
