Job summary

Staffmark Group in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Mold Maker - Direct Hire. You will review tooling designs for plastic components and design and develop molds, dies, and fixtures to meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.

Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tooling performance, quality, and cost; perform mold-flow analyses; and collaborate with tooling suppliers during RFQ. Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of injection molding tooling design and mold-making processes.
• Hands-on experience with injection molding tools and tool maintenance.
• SolidWorks/CAD proficiency and GD&T fundamentals.
• Experience with mold-flow analysis and SPC/DOE/Six Sigma methods.
• Knowledge of 2-shot, insert molding, IMD/IML and machining basics.

Responsibilities

• Review tooling designs to meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
• Design and develop tools, molds, dies, and fixtures for high-quality components.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to improve tooling performance, quality, and cost.
• Use mold-flow analyses to identify issues and improve production efficiency.
• Work with tooling suppliers during the RFQ process.
• Maintain documentation related to tooling designs, analysis, and process improvements.
• Support continuous improvement of tooling processes and capabilities.
