Job summary

Vision Plastics, Inc., a Northwest leader in custom injection molding, is hiring a Machine Operator for day shift. You will work in a clean environment, receive paid on-the-job training, and join a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include operating an injection molding machine, following POIs, ensuring parts meet quality standards, and documenting lot numbers and process data. OT may be required on weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand and verbally communicate work instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must possess basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Must be able to manually cycle machine by opening and closing gate.
• Must be able to lift, reach, and pull up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Must be able to stand for long (at least 8) hours.
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments, including temperatures reaching up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machine to produce quality molded parts.
• Read and follow Production Operating Instructions (POI) and verbal instructions.
• Run machine at required cycle time and monitor for malfunctions; report issues promptly.
• Verify parts meet quality standards; record rejections and notify supervisor.
• Process parts per POI and quality standards (trimming, sanding, packaging, etc.).
• Maintain accurate part counts and complete work orders/labels with correct lot numbers.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and anticipate needs for upcoming shifts.
• Assist in stocking tools and materials and participate in process improvements.
