Job summary

Vision Plastics, Inc. is hiring Machine Operators for swing shift in a clean environment with paid on-the-job training. You will operate an injection molding machine, follow POIs, monitor cycles, and ensure quality while maintaining accurate counts and proper labeling.

Requirements include basic reading, math, communication, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. The role supports a Monday–Friday swing shift with potential OT, in a non-climate-controlled environment up to 100 degrees.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand and verbally communicate work instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must possess basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Must be able to manually cycle machine by opening and closing gate.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machine to produce quality molded parts.
• Read and follow Production Operating Instructions and verbal instructions.
• Run machine at required cycle time and monitor for malfunctions.
• Verify parts meet quality standards and report rejects.
• Process parts per POI including trimming, sanding, cutting, assembling, boxing.
• Keep accurate count of all parts and verify lot numbers.
• Fill out work orders and labels accurately and legibly.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and notify supervisors of problems.
• Ensure materials and equipment are stocked for oncoming shift.
• Suggest improvements to operator procedures and participate in improvement programs.
