Job summary

This role focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and hands-on problem solving to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance or engineering experience.
• Wearer hands-on experience with plastic injection molding equipment is required.
• 1–3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and schematic-reading skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work with 24 VDC, 120/240 VAC, and 480 VAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment and document findings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
• Troubleshoot basic control circuits and integrated circuits.
• Wire and troubleshoot control circuits operating at 24 VDC, 120/240 VAC, and 480 VAC.
• Size and install motor starters, overloads, contactors, and related components.
• Install, set up, and troubleshoot VFDs and motor controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform basic machine shop tasks, including drilling, tapping, cutting, and threading pipe.
• Use hand tools, power tools, drills, lathes, and milling machines as needed.
• Bend conduit and pull/install electrical wiring.
• Support plant and building maintenance, including lighting, compressors, and emergency lighting.
• Maintain machine functionality and minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a high-demand manufacturing environment.
