Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Significant relevant process engineering experience may be considered in place of formal education.
• Minimum three years of plastic injection mold processing experience required

Responsibilities

• Support automated assembly and injection molding manufacturing across various product lines.
• Provide hands-on engineering support for projects from conception through production, including equipment installation, start-up, and qualification.
• Develop engineering specifications, maintain drawings and project timelines, and manage project tasks, resources, costs, and deliverables.
• Perform process development for new and existing molds and design, execute, and analyze engineering studies.
• Optimize plant machinery, tooling, and manufacturing processes through electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design modifications.
• Coordinate and perform equipment validations and process engineering evaluations.
• Manage plant and capital projects, maintain project documentation, and support delivery on time and within budget.
• Improve manufacturing processes to reduce scrap and cycle times, increase efficiency, and eliminate waste.
• Research vendor proposals, specifications, manuals, and new technologies to evaluate design feasibility and applications.
• Support installation of new products, tooling, and related processes; investigate tooling and process issues; and recommend product or process improvements.
• Provide technical expertise and training to plant personnel.
• Support Lean Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Travel up to 10%, or up to 26 business days per year.
• Work scheduled hours and irregular hours as needed to complete assignments.
