Job summary

MP is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to own all plastic injection-molded processes across facilities. You will collaborate with Operations Supervisors, Molding Technicians, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Automation Engineers to create stable processes, reduce scrap, and shorten cycle times.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in high-volume plastic injection molding, with RJG Master Molder I/II or Scientific/Decoupled Molding certifications preferred and a track record in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience: Seven+ years hands-on process engineering in high-volume plastic injection molding.
• Certification/Methodology: RJG Master Molder I or II, or formal Scientific Molding/Decoupled Molding preferred.
• Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in resin behavior, mold design, hot-runner systems, dryers, chillers, thermolators.
• Demonstrated Lean/Six Sigma knowledge to reduce scrap and cycle times.

Responsibilities

• Lead tool trials and qualify new molds/materials using Scientific Molding principles.
• Establish robust process windows for new tooling and document baseline parameters.
• Transition qualified tools into production with Process Sheets and SOPs.
• Evaluate processes to identify root causes of variation, scrap, or long cycle times.
• Re-engineer and optimize parameters to reduce cycle times and scrap while preserving quality.
