Job summary

BD in USA NE - Columbus (West) seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on injection molding presses and related equipment in compliance with safety and GMP standards.

You will troubleshoot, read blueprints, and assist with engineering projects, including equipment IQs. Training operators and maintaining parts inventory are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics preferred; or two years technical experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficient understanding of hydraulic, electric, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment in accordance with safety and GMP procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory and support engineering projects including installation of new equipment and IQs.
• Assist with machine set-ups and operator training as needed.
• Collaborate with Controls group to modify PLC programs and ladder logic.
