Job summary
BD in Columbus, NE is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize production equipment and facility systems. You will support continuous improvement projects and collaborate with Controls Coordinators and Process Engineers to implement manufacturing enhancements.
The role requires an Associate’s degree in electromechanical technology and strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills, PLCs, robotics, and industrial networks.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electromechanical Technology or related field is required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated production equipment is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment including pneumatics, motors, VFDs, and servo systems.
- Diagnose and repair PLCs and maintain robotic systems and machine vision equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize reliability and performance.
- Train operators on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Update Quality System documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
