Job summary

BD is seeking a Molder/Technician to setup and operate molding presses in an injection molding environment, ensuring product quality and process control per GMP and safety standards. The role includes troubleshooting, line maintenance, and collaboration across shifts to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include running and restarting presses, inspecting parts, maintaining documentation, and supporting lead technicians with projects and validations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous molding experience preferred.
• Scientific molding technique knowledge preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read, write and converse in English.

Responsibilities

• Keep the line running.
• Restart press as needed.
• Perform periodical part inspection.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of molding machines and documentations.
• Verify the mold is running within validated parameters and parts meet acceptance criteria.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of auxiliary equipment, including conveyors and water temperature controls.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Specifications and safety/environmental procedures.
• Fill out documents on molding runs to control traceability.
• Relieve other molding technicians during breaks and assist mold utilities.
• Promote cooperation between shifts, tool room, quality control, and management.
• Set and pull molds.
• Work with QC Reps for 1st piece approvals.
• Perform PMs on equipment each shift.
• Address quality defects detected at in-process inspections.
• Work with in-process inspector to ensure product quality.
• Maintain molding department and equipment with GMP.
• Work with Lead Tech and mold repair on projects.
