Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate from a two-year college or technical school.
• Strong math and mechanical aptitude; ability to operate safely all machinist tools, equipment, and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and motorized lift devices, fork truck, hand and power tools; operate machine tools, cranes, meters, CNC, and welding devices.
• See, read, and follow departmental procedures; complete and maintain forms, reports, logs, and charting; read blueprints; understand procurement procedures.
• Quality: paperwork accuracy; follow work instructions; report tool/mold/fixture problems to supervisor.
• Productivity: meet performance standards; drive problem solving and cost reductions via tool/mold repairs and troubleshooting.
• Health/Safety: follow safety rules, wear PPE, report hazards; participate in safety initiatives.
• Teamwork/Flexibility: OT availability; rotate between jobs/departments; train others.
• Set Up: assist in area/workstation setup; ensure equipment operates properly.
• Other: routine safety, PM, and other inspections.
