Job summary

Kreate, a family-owned plastic injection molding company, seeks a hands-on Tooling Technician to maintain and repair molds essential to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a safe, organized environment.

Responsibilities include PMs on molds, complete teardowns/reassemblies, hydraulic/pneumatic system repairs, manifold work, and machining with mills and lathes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Crane operation experience or willingness to learn.
• Safety-focused with LOTO procedures.
• Welding experience is developing but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on molds to ensure performance.
• Conduct mold teardowns, inspections, and reassembly as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair manifolds to support mold functionality.
• Machine tasks with manual mills and lathes; operate cranes.
• Maintain organized tooling workspace and safety compliance.
• Develop welding skills within the first year of employment.
• Provide low-voltage electrical troubleshooting as needed; on-call for emergencies.
