Job summary

Honor Plastics & Molding in Pomona, CA is seeking a Mold Technician to inspect, clean, and maintain injection molds, log mold numbers, and prepare molds for production runs.

Responsibilities include mold changeovers, locating fixtures, supporting the tool room supervisor, and assisting with special manufacturing projects. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of mold equipment repair experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of an injection molding plant and tooling parts.
• 1–2 years' experience repairing injection molding machinery and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Knoweldge of General machining equipment like Lathe, VMC, and CNC.
• Cleaning and performing preventative maintenance on molds before and after production.
• Basic knowledge of Injection molding and mold maintenance.
• Tagging and placing molds in assigned locations/ assigning molds to new locations.
• Assisting tool room manager in mold change overs according to configurations on work orders.
• Maintaining/assigning fixture locations.
• Logging in incoming molds and assigning them a mold number according to our mold log.
• Change over Troubleshooting Mold.
• Assisting the production floor with special manufacturing projects.
• Perform any other assignments given by the Tool Room Supervisor/ VP of Sales and Operations.
