Steuben Foods Inc. in Elma, NY is seeking an Ingredient Documentation Specialist to gather and maintain regulatory, food safety, and quality documentation for ingredients used in production.

The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, customers, R&D and internal teams to ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards, Kosher and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree or technical training.
• 3+ years of experience in the food industry, QA, or lab/tech env.
• Grade 2 Technical Licensing or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company food safety and quality standards.
• Communicate ingredient documentation requirements to customers and provide status updates.
• Manage vendor-supplied regulatory documentation in internal systems.
• Establish and maintain customer-specific documentation for ingredients.
• Review documentation and interpret information relative to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with R&D and customers on new projects through commercialization.
• Maintain Kosher Schedule A and B updates and participate in reviews.
• Review and approve ingredients and suppliers based on required documentation.
• Address documentation gaps with suppliers to achieve resolution.
• Assist in maintaining the Ingredient & Supplier Risk Matrix.
• Support regulatory and customer audits related to ingredients.
• Communicate with vendor contacts regarding ingredient material issues and assist with claims.
• Serve as backup for Quality Raw Material Technician responsibilities.
