Job summary

Mass General Hospital in Boston seeks a Practice Assistant II in the Infusion Unit to support clinicians in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a full-time schedule with weekend and weekday shifts and requires patient-facing duties, scheduling, and billing tasks.

You will greet patients, manage appointments, assist with EPIC scheduling and billing, and help coordinate care. HS diploma and 2–3 years office experience are required; on-site work in the 55 Fruit Street location.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 2-3 years office experience required.
• Proficiency with Office Suite and ability to manage phone calls and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk and handle scheduling, check-in/out duties.
• Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
• Answer telephones and schedule routine inquiries.
• Process patient billing forms and scan documents into the EMR/EPIC.
• Call for patient records and lab results.
• Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.
• May handle co-payments and provide support for prior authorizations.
