Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a patient services assistant to support healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical tasks. You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow, collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

The role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns, with opportunities to work across departments in a fast-paced setting.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and CMA certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Perform general office duties and liaison with other departments while advocating for patients.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms and keep them neat, stocked, and ready for exams.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
