Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time weekend role (0.5 FTE) to join an interdisciplinary care team. The RN will perform assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and educate patients and families about disease processes, treatments, and symptom management, while collaborating with the care team.

Oncology experience is preferred; onboarding will begin with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license or MS/ML for WA residence within 60 days of hire.
• Oncology experience or willingness to training.
• BLS certification and renewal every two years.
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Effective time management and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care accordingly.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate plan of care based on disease, symptoms and treatment response.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Refer patients to social work, home health care, nutrition, and other resources as needed.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, IV nutrition, fluids and blood products as indicated.
• Integrate research and evidence into clinical practice.
