Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires nursing degree (ADN or Diploma) at hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing must be completed within 5 years of employment.
• RN license in Kentucky; BLS certification within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per established policies, procedures and protocols.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to the care team.
• Coordinate patient care with multiple disciplines for well‑coordinated care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge planning needs with patient, family and healthcare team.
• Educate patient and family based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
• Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act.
