Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking an infusion nurse to provide direct patient care within established policies and protocols. The position requires active RN licensure in Kentucky and BLS within 45 days, with education progressing toward a Bachelor’s degree within five years.

The role supports coordination of multidisciplinary care, discharge planning, and family education while adhering to Nurse Practice Act guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years of employment in this position
• RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky required upon hire and BLS within 45 days

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care according to policies and protocols
• Implements and monitors patient care plans
• Monitors and communicates patient condition
• Coordinates care with other disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Follows physician and nursing orders
• Coordinates discharge planning with patient/family and healthcare team
• Provides patient and family education based on age and culture
• Performs duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act
