Job summary

BrightStar Care in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate in-home care and IV therapies, following each client’s Plan of Care.

You will perform home infusions, monitor vital signs, document in electronic health records, and counsel clients and families on nursing needs. A valid RN license and reliable transportation are required; training is provided on site.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applying state.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; critical care experience preferred.
• IV insertion skills required and infusion experience in home or clinical setting preferred but training provided on site.

Responsibilities

Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) Job Duties:

• Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act, in the clients home
• Perform infusions in the home setting
• Monitor patient’s condition and complete vitals
• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.
• Assures proper maintenance of electronic health record compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in state for which you are applying.
• 1 year experience.- critical care experience preferred
• IV insertion skills required
• Infusion experience in home or clinical setting preferred but not required- will train on site
• Physical and TB screen within the last year
• Current CPR certification
• Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Reliable car / auto insurance.
• Clean background and criminal record.
