Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) to join our Champaign, IL home health team on a part-time, hourly basis. The role involves delivering infusion therapies in patients' homes and following each client’s Plan of Care within state nurse practice guidelines.

Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted RN license in Illinois, have IV insertion skills, CPR certification, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in state applying.
• 1 year experience; critical care preferred.
• IV insertion skills required.
• Infusion experience in home or clinical setting preferred but not required; on-site training available.
• TB screen within the last year.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Reliable car / auto insurance.
• Clean background and criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Perform care per client’s Plan of Care and within state nurse practice act in the client’s home.
• Perform infusions in the home setting.
• Monitor patient’s condition and vitals.
• Provide nursing services requiring substantial and specialized skill.
• Ensure electronic health record compliance with laws.
• Counsel client and family to meet nursing needs.

Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) Job Duties:

• Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act, in the clients home


• Perform infusions in the home setting


• Monitor patient’s condition and complete vitals


• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.


• Assures proper maintenance of electronic health record compliance with local, state and federal laws.


• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
