Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Lead to oversee daily operations, schedule staff, and support continuous improvement under a pharmacist supervision. This is a full-time role based at our South Lake Union Campus, typically Monday–Friday with possible weekend coverage.

The position requires 3 years of experience, WA tech certification, and strong communication and calculation skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Washington state pharmacy technician certification.
• Minimum 3 years pharmacy technician experience.
• Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations.
• Ability to use a mouse, navigate computer programs, enter data into computer systems accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, leads, and directs daily operational functions within the pharmacy department.
• Training, recruitment, evaluation of pharmacy technicians, assistants, apprentices, and interns.
• Scheduling of pharmacy technicians, assistants, apprentices, and interns.
• Timecard approval.
• Reviews and responds to reports of patient safety events.
• Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and standard operation procedures.
• Communicates and collaborates professionally with members of the leadership team.
• Other duties as assigned.
