Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting in Lewiston, Maine. Day shifts are available for a 12-week assignment.

The role involves administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions, performing patient assessments, and educating patients and families on treatment plans while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain; minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
