Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Infusion Pharmacy seeks a pharmacist to join our oncology infusion team, delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients receiving chemotherapy in ambulatory settings at Moores Cancer Center and Koman Outpatient Pavilion.

Responsibilities include reviewing regimens, overseeing chemotherapy admixture, counseling patients, and precepting residents and students while actively participating in committees to improve medication safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in California (RPH).
• Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Three paths to experience: PGY2 Oncology, or PGY1 plus 1 year of pharmacist experience, or 4 years pharmacist experience.

Responsibilities

• Medication review and verification of chemotherapy regimens.
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy medications.
• Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medications.
• Precept residents and students in clinical practice.
• Participate in Disease Team, Cancer Center, and Department of Pharmacy committees.
