Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. in the United States seeks a Server Engineer to support IT infrastructure across global operations, focusing on availability, performance, and security of corporate systems, including servers, storage, and cloud services.

You will participate in migrations, deployments, and automation using IaC tools, with on-call rotation and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years in enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, platform engineering, or systems administration.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Hands-on virtualization experience (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, OpenStack, KVM).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation/IaC tools (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python).
• Evidence of troubleshooting complex infrastructure and delivering projects in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, maintenance, and operation of infrastructure platforms (servers, virtualization, storage, backup, cloud).
• Assist lifecycle management of server hardware and infrastructure platforms (deployments, upgrades, patching, capacity planning).
• Maintain virtualization platforms and enterprise storage (SAN/NAS).
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, including patching and automation.
• Participate in infrastructure projects (deployments, migrations, cloud initiatives) and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to documentation and procedures.
