KellyMitchell is seeking a Software Engineer - Server Infrastructure & Automation to engineer, automate, and manage enterprise server infrastructure across multiple data centers. The role emphasizes building automation, IaC, and lifecycle management for server hardware and operating systems.

The position requires 10+ years in enterprise server infrastructure, deep firmware and OS knowledge, and strong automation skills with PowerShell, Python, Go, or C#.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure in large-scale production environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise Windows and Linux operating system environments.
• Strong software development and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Go, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, Puppet, Chef, or similar technologies.

Aufgaben

• Own the full lifecycle of enterprise server infrastructure, including hardware evaluation, deployment, provisioning, maintenance, refreshes, and decommissioning across multiple data centers.
• Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline server deployment, monitoring, maintenance, hardware replacement, and infrastructure operations.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions to standardize server infrastructure and reduce manual processes.
• Manage server firmware, BIOS/UEFI, device drivers, and Windows/Linux operating system lifecycle activities to ensure platform stability, security, and reliability.
• Monitor server health, proactively identify hardware failures and performance issues, and lead troubleshooting efforts involving hardware, firmware, drivers, and operating systems.
• Develop automated workflows for hardware failure detection, triage, escalation, and remediation while coordinating with remote hands teams, data center personnel, and vendors.
• Establish infrastructure engineering standards, maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks, and collaborate with network, security, storage, and application teams to drive operational excellence.
