Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Principal Technologist - Resiliency & Availability to lead and advance enterprise resiliency, recovery, data protection, and availability across servers, storage, networks, databases, middleware, cloud, and mainframe.

You will partner with architects, engineers, and business teams to ensure reliable, auditable capabilities aligned with regulatory expectations. Responsibilities include shaping roadmaps, defending investments, developing executive-ready content, and ensuring

Qualifications

15+ years in infrastructure technology, architecture, engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience across servers, storage, networking, databases, middleware, cloud, and mainframe.
Strong understanding of resiliency, availability, data protection concepts.
Experience developing executive communications and business cases.
Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.

Responsibilities

Maintain understanding of resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, DR, and data protection across Infrastructure Technology.
Assess maturity and identify opportunities to improve resilience and recovery.
Drive adoption of modern resiliency and availability capabilities.
Partner with architects, engineers, and business teams to evolve capabilities.
Develop business cases and translate capabilities for executives and audits.
Create strategy documents, maturity assessments, and governance materials.
