Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Technologist - Resiliency & Availability to lead enterprise resiliency, recovery, and data protection initiatives across servers, storage, networks, databases, and cloud platforms.

The role partners with architects, engineers, and business teams to ensure capabilities meet reliability, recoverability, and regulatory requirements, while driving modern, best-in-class solutions and executive-level communication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure technology, architecture, engineering, platform services, resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, data protection, or related disciplines.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure technology, architecture, engineering, platform services, or related disciplines.
• Broad technical expertise across servers, storage, networking, databases, middleware, cloud, platform services, and mainframe technologies.
• Strong understanding of resiliency, availability, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, and data protection concepts.
• Experience assessing capabilities, identifying improvements, and influencing strategic roadmaps.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executives and diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, and data protection.
• Assess capability maturity and identify opportunities to improve resilience and recoverability.
• Drive adoption of modern resiliency, recovery, and availability capabilities.
• Partner with architects, engineers, and business teams to evolve capabilities with changing tech and threats.
• Develop business cases supporting resiliency investments and quantify value and risk reductions.
