Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Principal Technologist - Resiliency & Availability to lead enterprise resiliency initiatives across servers, storage, networks, databases, middleware, cloud, and mainframe. You will partner with architects and business teams to ensure reliable, recoverable, and auditable capabilities with an enterprise-wide view.

The role drives capability maturity, risk reduction, and executive communications, while supporting audits and regulatory reviews to demonstrate recovery readiness.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure technology, architecture, engineering, platform services, resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, data protection, or related disciplines.
• Broad technical expertise across servers, storage, networking, databases, middleware, cloud, and mainframe.
• Strong understanding of resiliency, availability, disaster recovery, cyber recovery, and data protection concepts.
• Experience developing executive communications, strategy documents, and business cases.
• Ability to influence outcomes and drive organizational change without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of resiliency, availability, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, and data protection capabilities across Infrastructure Technology.
• Assess capability maturity and identify opportunities to improve resilience and operational readiness.
• Drive adoption of modern resiliency and availability capabilities.
• Develop executive presentations, maturity assessments, and capability guides.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear content for executive and regulatory audiences.
