Job summary

Flood Control District of Maricopa County is seeking a Construction Management Specialist to manage, inspect, coordinate, and jointly oversee infrastructure projects for the Flood Control District.

The role requires two years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may accept equivalent education/experience. The position supports overtime eligibility and a focus on safety and quality in field and office environments.

Qualifications

• Two years of inspector or construction/engineering experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• NICET or ICC certification is valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and inspect flood control projects with the Construction Manager and contractor.
• Document work completed and materials used; prepare monthly pay estimates.
• Inspect projects under contract; resolve discrepancies between field conditions and design plans.
• Attend pre-construction and regular meetings with clients, contractors, and others to review progress.
• Monitor Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan requirements to meet permits.
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality; review shop drawings and submittals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
