Job summary

Maricopa County's Flood Control District is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and development of complex public works focused on flood risk reduction. You will manage multiple high‑impact projects from concept through construction, coordinating with engineers, planners, and stakeholders.

The role requires at least two years of professional engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and PE licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, etc.).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible to obtain Arizona registration within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and development of flood control projects.
• Oversee multiple high‑impact public works projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate with consulting engineers, planners, and staff; develop budgets and schedules.
• Present projects to boards and manage project authorizations and agreements.
