Job summary

The Resident Engineer with Maricopa County Flood Control District serves as the on-site technical authority for administering and overseeing public infrastructure construction projects. You will provide engineering expertise, direct field inspection activities, and facilitate communication among contractors, consultants, project managers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience as a Resident Engineer in CE&I or similar construction oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Environmental, etc.).
• PE registration or ability to obtain AZ registration within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Senior Construction Manager, directing field construction on multiple projects.
• Provide oversight, administration, and accountability for project quality and safety.
• Review plans, conduct constructability reviews, and document progress.
• Mentor other Construction Managers and Inspectors.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, stakeholders, and agencies to meet partner expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.
