Job summary

Maricopa County's Flood Control District seeks a Construction Management Specialist to manage, inspect, coordinate, and jointly manage infrastructure projects. You will ensure work aligns with standards, plans, budgets, and specifications, and prepare monthly pay estimates for contracts.

Ideal candidates have two years’ inspector or construction-related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may hold NICET/ICC certifications. Local travel and field work are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of inspector experience or two years in engineering/construction with surveying, drainage inspecting, hydrology, and plan review.
• High school diploma or GED; equivalent combination may substitute.
• Ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and inspect flood control projects with the Construction Manager and contractor.
• Document work completed and materials used; prepare monthly pay estimates.
• Inspect projects, resolve discrepancies between field conditions and plans.
• Attend pre-construction and progress meetings with clients and contractors.
