Insight Global is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer III (Windows & Virtualization) to support multiple datacenters and production environments on a 6-month contract in Columbus, OH.

You will design, implement, and maintain virtualization, storage, compute, backup, and disaster recovery solutions while collaborating with networking and security teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Strong expertise with Windows Server administration and architecture
• Understanding of Active Directory admin and architecture
• Understanding of VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain critical infrastructure platforms including virtualization, storage, compute, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Manage and optimize Windows Server environments, virtualization clusters, storage systems, and datacenter technologies while collaborating with networking and security teams.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for troubleshooting complex issues, evaluating emerging technologies, and driving infrastructure improvements that enhance performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll manage and optimize Windows Server environments, virtualization clusters, storage systems, and datacenter technologies while collaborating closely with networking and security teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
