Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II for the Core Infrastructure Services team to operate DNS/DHCP, certificate lifecycle, and automation across on-premises and multi-cloud environments.

You will work with senior engineers to own operational tasks and grow into a more senior role. You will collaborate with security and platform teams, document runbooks, support on-call incidents, and apply automation to reduce repetitive work while expanding knowledge in cloud and identity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in network/infrastructure or systems engineering with exposure to DNS/DHCP.
• Foundational TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Basic scripting (Python/PowerShell) and interest in automation.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and willingness to learn cloud-native tools.
• Exposure to network access control concepts (ClearPass, RADIUS, 802.1X).
• Familiarity with certificate/PKI concepts and expiration/renewal processes.
• Ability to follow and document procedures clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day DNS/DHCP operations and Infoblox management.
• Assist with ClearPass/network access operations and 802.1X/RADIUS policy changes.
• Manage certificate lifecycle across internal/external systems.
• Develop automation scripts to reduce manual work across DNS, certificates, and authentication workflows.
• Monitor systems for alerts, triage incidents, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document changes, update runbooks, and contribute to knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with security and platform teams on DNS, identity, and certificate projects.
• Support DNS and connectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
