Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a hands-on IT Engineer in Las Vegas, onsite, to power a high-performance software development environment.

You will manage Azure/Microsoft 365, VMware vSphere, AD/DNS/DHCP/GP, and network security while automating with PowerShell and supporting Dev/Test teams. The role emphasizes understanding system design, reliability, and security and how infrastructure choices align with business goals.

Qualifications

• Azure and Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• VMware vSphere / ESXi experience.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy experience.
• Windows and Linux server administration experience.
• PowerShell scripting and automation proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own Azure and Microsoft 365 administration and configurations.
• Manage VMware vSphere environments and ESXi hosts.
• Support Dev/Test environments for software development teams.
• Automate processes with PowerShell and drive improvements.
• Oversee infrastructure monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

This is not a traditional systems administration role.

My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who understands how cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation work together to support a high-performance software development environment.

The strongest candidates don't simply administer systems. They understand why systems are designed a certain way, how technical decisions impact reliability and security, and how infrastructure choices support the business.

What You'll Own
