MDS Staffing is seeking an IT Engineer for an onsite role in Las Vegas, NV. The lead focus is building and supporting a hands-on infrastructure spanning cloud, virtualization, networking, security, and automation for a high-performance development environment.

Ideal candidates will blend systems administration with design-thinking—understanding why infrastructure choices matter to reliability and security—and take ownership across multiple disciplines.

This is not a traditional systems administration role.

My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who understands how cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation work together to support a high-performance software development environment.

The strongest candidates don't simply administer systems. They understand why systems are designed a certain way, how technical decisions impact reliability and security, and how infrastructure choices support the business.

We're not looking for a VMware administrator, network engineer, or cloud engineer.

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who understands how these systems work together and can explain not only what they do, but why they do it.
