Job summary

xAI is seeking a Documentation Control Specialist to manage and maintain the integrity of technical documents across data center construction, engineering, and operations projects in Austin, TX. You will implement document control processes to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Document Control.
• Experience with document management systems and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of project documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, test reports, quality records, permits, as‑built drawings, and operations & maintenance manuals.
• Implement and maintain document control processes using EDMS platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Bluebeam, and SharePoint.
• Perform advanced document markup, review, and collaboration using Bluebeam Revu while enforcing version control, numbering, and revision tracking.
• Process incoming and outgoing documents: review for completeness, register, distribute via transmittals, and track approvals from internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support regulatory compliance by organizing and maintaining all permits, environmental assessments, safety documentation, and records required for power plant and datacenter operations.
• Generate status reports, dashboards, and metrics in Procore and Aconex for project leadership.
• Facilitate audits by providing quick and accurate access to controlled documents and records.
• Continuously improve document control workflows and train project team members on Aconex, Procore, and Bluebeam best practices.
