Job summary

M.C. Dean is Building Intelligence. The Document Control Specialist 2 will manage project documentation for fast-paced data center construction, ensuring drawings, submittals, RFIs, and turnover packages are accurate, version-controlled, and compliant with client and GC standards.

This role coordinates with engineering, field, GC and client teams, maintains ACC workflows, manages submittals and QA/QC, and leverages AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in daily workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of document control experience in construction or data center projects.
• Experience with ACC or similar cloud-based construction management platforms.
• Strong understanding of submittal processes, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of project documentation within ACC and client platforms.
• Manage and track IFC drawings, shop drawings, specs, submittals and RFIs.
• Enforce version control, naming conventions, and folder structures.
• Coordinate distribution of updated documents to field and project teams.
• Administer document workflows, logs, and revision histories.
• Support QA/QC checks and ensure documents meet client requirements.
• Coordinate submittal workflow from creation to approval and closeout.
• Validate teams are working from the latest issued documents in ACC.
• Utilize AI-driven workflows to automate tracking and reporting.
