Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking two Design Managers to oversee infrastructure designs from concept through construction. You will act as project manager for the design phase, coordinating design requirements across engineering disciplines, consultants, stakeholders, and construction teams.

You will manage the full design process, including defining requirements, procuring design services, managing RFPs and bids, coordinating permitting, and keeping schedules and budgets on track to deliver a coordinated,

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating infrastructure, building, or facility designs.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings in Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Technical background in mechanical/electrical engineering, architecture, construction, or related discipline.
• Experience with design schedules, budgets, RFPs, bids, and permitting.
• Ability to identify gaps and constructability issues within design packages.

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure designs from concept through construction readiness.
• Coordinate design requirements across engineering disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility scopes.
• Develop and manage design schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
• Prepare and manage requests for proposals for external design services.
• Coordinate the proposal, bidding, and consultant-selection processes.
• Manage permitting requirements and design-package submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, consultants, contractors, and end users.
• Facilitate design reviews and resolve interdisciplinary coordination issues.
• Ensure stakeholder and end-user requirements are captured in the design.
• Track design changes, risks, decisions, and action items.
• Support the transition from design into procurement and construction.
• Confirm designs are coordinated, constructible, properly funded, and ready for execution.
