Mott MacDonald in Boston seeks an Alternative Delivery Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure programs using Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and CMAR, serving as trusted advisor to clients and leading multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with at least three days in the office, opportunities to grow the Alternative Delivery practice, and to expand client relationships across New England.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
• Professional credentials such as PE, DBIA, PMP, CCM, or equivalent preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience delivering complex engineering, infrastructure, construction or capital programs.
• Demonstrated success leading projects utilizing alternative delivery methods (Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR).
• Established relationships with public and private sector clients within New England transportation, transit, water, wastewater, aviation and infrastructure markets preferred.
• Experience leading collaborative project delivery environments with owner, designer, and contractor teams.
• Strong understanding of alternative delivery procurement, commercial management, project controls, risk management, contract administration, and project execution.
• Experience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and performance metrics for large infrastructure projects and programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify risks, develop solutions, and drive successful project outcomes.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage clients, contractors, executive leadership, and technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience supporting business development activities, including client engagement, capture planning, proposal development, and interviews.
• Experience with transportation, transit, bridge, tunnel, water, or other major infrastructure programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex infrastructure projects using alternative delivery methods, including Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and CMAR.
• Advise clients on project delivery strategies and procurement approaches.
• Develop and support procurement packages, contract documents, delivery method analyses, and related technical documentation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through project delivery.
• Establish and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, risks, and resources.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Lead workshops, project meetings, and stakeholder presentations to support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.
• Manage project quality, compliance, controls, contracts, and execution.
• Collaborate with internal leadership and technical specialists to optimize project performance and achieve client objectives.
• Lead or support strategic pursuits and capture activities, including positioning, proposal development, interviews, and negotiations for alternative delivery opportunities.
• Serve as Project Manager, Owner's Project Manager on important alternative delivery projects and programs.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients to support continued growth of the practice.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships to support repeat business, long-term partnerships, and successful project delivery.
