Job summary

University at Buffalo is seeking a Supervisor, Infrastructure Design to lead the Infrastructure Design Team within the Network and Communication Services unit. You will mentor staff, develop training plans, and oversee the voice and data infrastructure campus-wide, with a possible hybrid work arrangement.

The role requires coordinating with university constituencies, enforcing standards, and guiding project plans while maintaining service coverage across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience OR master's degree with 1 year of experience in network and communication services in a large environment.
• Two years of experience in managing a technical team.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date; no sponsorship guaranteed by UB.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with university constituencies to meet needs and deliver consistent services.
• Identify risks and establish standards to manage them.
• Plan, assess risks, budget, and manage service lifecycles.
• Consult, project manage, and develop IT policies.
• Maintain inventories and recommend resources.
• Supervise personnel and ensure service coverage.
• Recruit, retain, and manage team performance.
• Provide technical advice and stay updated on technologies.
• Develop project plans and lead project teams.
• Mentor and develop employees and career opportunities.
